Kadare’s building
This building is the otherwise known as Kadare's building (the building where Kadare lived), was built next to the department store (Mapo) in Dibra Street. Kadare’s building was designed by the arch. Maks Velo in 1972. The building was focused under the accusations of the Hoxha’s regime being called modernist and cubist, while its designer was jailed for 10 years.Perhaps it was the only flat in a common residential building in Albania, which was designed with a fireplace.
