Lalm Castle

It is believed that this castle was built around the IV century AD. An epitaph tomb dedicated to a slave proves that the hill was inhabited in the first centuries AD. Through it was supervised the road coming from Ndroqi (on the edge of Erzen flow) to the area of Tirana.
The surface where the castle is built has the shape of an ellipse with a length of 100 m and width of 50 m. This territory was surrounded by a wall, of which there are only a few separate tracts on the eastern side, and a trace of the wall on the west side of the hill. The outer wall is constructed with limestone, and the core wall stones are filled with plaster. Within the walls are found fragments of tiles and ceramic belonging to the late Antiquity.
The castle of Lalm is also known as the Bixh Castle, named after the local ruler of the region during the Ottoman Empire.
